The considerable success of the GranTurismo MC Stradale has inspired and encouraged the development of the GranCabrio MC – the former car was warmly received by Maserati customers due to the masterly translation and adaptation of racing characteristics that it brought to the road.
The GranCabrio maintains all the strength and character of a true grand tourer, making this new vehicle with its aggressive yet highly sporty look ideal for long journeys.
Adopting a profile which is designed to optimise the aerodynamic life and flow, the GranCabrio MC is 48mm longer than the standard GranCabrio and GranCabrio Sport – all characterised by a front end obviously inspired directly by the MC Stradale.
This increased car length collaborates with other aerodynamic elements at the rear end to give a different feel to the other versions of the GranCabrio.
Part of that aerodynamic superiority of the rear is seen in the large spoiler, promoting a greater level of negative lift at high speeds.
The third brake light is inside the spoiler, built into the luggage compartment. The spoiler is available with a carbon finish with some of the various combination packages, cleanly painted to match the body without any sense of transition.
